Promotions Intern:
If you have always wondered about the fast paced, exciting world of radio, read on: Salem Media of Oregon (104.1 The Fish, 93.9 KPDQ FM, True Talk 800 AM, 93.1 KTRO FM, and 910 KTRO AM) is looking for qualified college students interested in exploring the Communications / Media Industry. We are offering multiple "for credit only" internship positions in our Promotions / Marketing / Programming department.
Ideal candidates would be friendly, outgoing and have a love for being around people. Must exude a positive attitude and strong character along with a belief that no job is too small. Must be flexible with regards to schedule, available weekends and able to lift heavy objects.
Duties include set up for remote broadcasts, loading and unloading equipment from station vehicles, assist with special events, drive station vehicles to and from specified locations, and assist in setting up booths and signage at events. Maintain station prizes for listener distribution.
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty completely. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum level of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required) - Must have a flexible work schedule - Must have a valid, US Drivers license - Speak, read & write English clearly and effectively - Must be familiar with Microsoft Office - Job includes some physical labor and the need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
This position will report directly to the Assistant Promotions Directors and will be lots of fun!
